I’m on a low carb diet. Can I maintain that through the fast?

If by low carb you mean cutting out processed carbs likes cookies, pastries, pasta and bread then absolutely, yes. However, if you mean low carb as avoiding all carbohydrates and eating a diet high in animal product content, then no.


The Fast, as our Holy Fathers practiced it, was a whole food plant forward diet—and so is this program. If you’re ready to explore a healthier, sustainable way of eating, grounded in both science (studies show that long-term low-carb diets are linked to poorer health outcomes) and Orthodox tradition, I invite you to join us.

Do I have to follow the meal plan?

Short answer: No.


The mealplan is an example of how a nutritionally balanced whole food plant-based diet can look like during the fast (though there’s no pressure to be 100% plant-based).


You can use it for inspiration and you will have a treasure trove of fast-friendly recipes that the whole family will enjoy.

When are the coaching calls?

Weekly calls alternate between Monday evenings and Tuesday mornings (Central time) to allow for varying time zones. If you can’t make a call, you are able to submit questions ahead of time that will be answered and replays of the calls are available.


I’ll be honest with you - the people who have the most success in the program are the ones who show up the most.
